Oscar Meeting Minutes: Full Recap

Ladies and potential gentlemen Cin Cin Cinema presents the first ever Oscars Meeting Minutes! Due to my invitation for the event being lost in translation I am watching the show on my sister’s couch reporting live. There’s always next year I guess… if anyone reading this has connections I’d love to be a red carpet correspondent. Grab a drink and get comfortable cause I have no idea how omg this is gonna be. Hopefully not as long as some of those brutally long acceptance speeches. Cin Cin let’s begin this Oscars recap!

7:01pm This montage is gonna turn me into a puddle of tears.

7:02pm One note from Ariana Grande, tears have started. Cynthia Erivo’s voice is so perfect all the hair on my body just stood up, but I have no clue what this song is! I hope every person was holding space for that performance of Defying Gravity like I sure was.

7:10pm Fucking fantastic opening from Conan O’Brien- I absolutely love when they do these skits! His monologue is so funny, I loved all the jokes about Netflix and the Catholic Church and Ai. His comedic timing was fantastic and being being able to laugh at yourself and your

own jokes just makes the whole thing more fun.

7:17pm Kylie Jenner is so hot.

7:23pm Adam Sandler x Timothee Chalamet will be the highlight of this evening I’m predicting it now (I was right 11:05pm).

7:27pm Is there a contract that Ryan Reynolds and or Deadpool has to be featured in every single major event presented in the entertainment industry?

BEST DOCUMENTARY FEATURE FILM: NO OTHER LAND- beautiful acceptance speech about the importance of freeing Palestine and bringing justice to both the people of Israeli and Palestinian, together.

How unfair to cut off other people and let him continue, that was rude. Someone save Cillian the poor man doesn’t wanna be on stage any more. I saw that smirk Jeremy Strong.

I hope you enjoyed Dry Gin Martini’s Oscars Meeting Minutes presented by Cin Cin Cinema. In all honesty, I have always viewed these award shows as the pinnacle of cinema and absolute distinction. As I’ve gotten older I’ve learned that though these awards are a great honor, they do often leave out plenty of incredible artists and their hard work and dedication- that’s not to negate any of these awards, just simply an observation. Film is a medium that reflects the emotion and culture of past, present, and future. It is so inspiring to hear the stories of winner across the globe and how they made their dreams come true.
